A Facebook user is spreading a screenshot of a fake post from the leader of the “Alliance of Patriots of Georgia”, Irma Inashvili. In the forged post, we read: “Konstantine Morgoshia is Achilles, David, who fights a huge Goliath embodied in Bidzina Ivanishvili, and it is he who will lead us to the great victory, which was blessed by Mr. David Tarkhan-Mouravi. Great is the power of David’s prayer and the endurance of Konstantine Morgoshia in this battle.” In reality, this quote is fake. Irma Inashvili has never published such a post.
After verification, it turns out that no similar post was published on Irma Inashvili’s Facebook account. The widespread quote was not found in other reliable media outlets either. Facebook page “Premieri” often publishes quotes from members of the “Alliance of Patriots of Georgia”, which Irma Inashvili responded to on her page as well. She noted: “This page deliberately spreads not only lies but forged quotes! It has been misleading the readers for a long time now, and it spreads fake quotes of our party leaders.”
In addition, in the comments of the post shared by the mentioned Facebook account, we find a comment of the “Alliance of Patriots of Georgia” Facebook account, which states that the quote is fake.
A similar comment can be found in another post of the “Premieri” Facebook page, where a forged quote from Davit Tarkhan-Mouravi, one of the leaders of the Alliance of Patriots of Georgia, is published.
Thus, the screenshot of the post published in the name of Irma Inashvili is fake.
